Manager, Sustainable Forestry and Eastern Wildlife Program


National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, Inc.

Dr. T. Bently Wigley serves as Manager of the Sustainable Forestry and Wildlife Program for the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, Inc. (NCASI), a non-profit research organization that addresses environmental issues of importance to the forest products industry. His duties with NCASI include developing technical information that reveals cost-effective ways of managing forests for both economic and ecological goals. To develop this information, Dr. Wigley has been involved as a collaborator in a number of cooperative research projects across the United States involving industry, government agencies, universities, and non-profit organizations. Dr. Wigley has a B.S. in forestry and M.S. and Ph.D. in wildlife ecology, all from Mississippi State University. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources at Clemson University and the School of Forestry at Auburn University. Prior to his employment with NCASI, Dr. Wigley was as an assistant and associate professor of forest wildlife ecology for the University of Arkansas-Monticello.
