My involvement with the Applegate project will be in the area of fire behavior and effects.
I have substantial interest in the area, both professionally and personally.
I've done fire history and effects work in the Klamaths and Siskiyous and in the southern Cascades,
and look forward to working with the team from Oregon State University to refine forest management
models that incorporate disturbances such as forest fires into the planning framework.
