Hawley is latest OSU theme residence hall
The newly renovated Hawley Hall is the latest addition to OSU's theme residence halls, giving students the opportunity to live with others sharing similiar interests, classes, and career goals. Two floors of Hawley are reserved for students in the Colleges of Forestry and Agricultural Sciences. Forestry resident assistant Michelle Hadley has helped organize a Forestry Club fair and meetings, a financial aid and scholarship information meeting, and a grand opening for the hall.
"Next year we hope to attract more ag and forestry students, which will help create a more centralized atmosphere," Hadley says.
University Housing and Dining Services Associate Director Paulette Ratchford hopes next year will also bring several inspirational speakers working and teaching in the forestry and agriculture industries. "Inspirational programming is aimed at getting students tuned into the industry and thinking about their futures," says Ratchford.
OSU offers a variety of theme residence halls and floors, including Cauthorn Hall, which has the theme of outdoor pursuits, and McNary Hall, which houses students in the Honors College.
