Minutes of February 23, 1999 Teleconference Call with Committee of Scientists
Visit to Washington, D.C. in March
Norm Johnson addressed the upcoming visit to Washington, D.C. Each of the committee is invited to come to Washington on the 15th of March for a press release of the report scheduled for the afternoon. That evening, a reception will be held at a local hotel. The next day, Norm and any members who want to will attend a House of Representatives hearing at 2PM in the Longworth Building. Members of the committee will be available to discuss the report on Tuesday, March 16, in the morning.
General Discussion of Revised Draft Summary
Drs. Shannon and Wondolleck led the discussion of the latest revision of the summary. Drs. Dale, Wondolleck, and Shannon discussed the production of the summary and report and made sure each committee member is prompt in completing review and comment on each section of the text. Dr. Dale reported that work on the summary is moving along well, but it is getting to be a real chore. It is expected that Xerox copies of the summary and the summary with report (the complete document) will be available for distribution on March 15th. At that time, a contractor to print the document will be identified. It is expected that printed copies of the report will be available for distribution by the end of March.
