Saving in JPEG format
Saving in JPEG format
Saving in JPEG format is relatively easy. Make sure that your image is in either Grayscale mode or RGB mode. Then go to [File] and then [Save As]. Select [JPEG] as the image type in the drop-down list box labeled Format. Once you click OK, you only get one set of options and that is to choose the quality of the image. The dialog box is below.

With little exception, the Low setting will be perfectly suitable for web use and it's good to know that it is the highest compression available for the image. The greater the image quality you choose here, the greater hit you will take on final file size. In other words, the higher the quality, the higher the file size.
