Using Outlook for E-Mail

While Outlook undoubtably has many important and useful features, electronic mail is the driving force behind it. The ability to send messages, files, and attend online meetings has become increasingly important.

Creating a Mail Message

To Create a New Message,

  • Click the File Menu, select New, then click Message.
  • Or, Press Ctrl + Shift + M.
  • Or, Right Click in the Inbox and select New Mail Message
  • Or, Click Action, select New Mail Message.

A Windows will appear that looks like this.

Now that a new message window has been created, the messgaes must be addressed to someone. To specify mail recipiants, click on the To: button.

In this windows, addresses from your Contacts can be added to you message. In the To: box, normal mail recipients are stored. In the CC: box, names you want the message Carbon Copied to are stored. In the BCC: box, name for Blind Carbon Copies are stored.
