Description:

X-Win32 is StarNet's latest X terminal application for Windows 95, 98, NT4.0 and even Windows 2000. X-Win32 allows Windows users to connect to Linux/Unix servers on a network and run the applications from those servers on their Windows desktop, right along side popular Windows applications. Users can even copy and paste data between the X and Windows applications.

Instructions:

You must have administrator rights to install this program

To begin a network install of X-Win, simply run the executable at:
Q:\Win32\Install\Internet\Xwin\XWIN.EXE.
The default installation will run the program from the network. The only thing put on your local computer is an Icon and a small user settings file.

For a local install run:
Q:\Win32\Install\Internet\Xwin\XWIN.EXE localinstall.
Follow the instructions, this installation is quite simple. You may simply accept the defaults. If you are unfamiliar with how to install a program locally, please contact the helpdesk.
