Path:

"Q:\WIN32\INSTALL\GIS\AVIEW32.EXE"

Disk Space Required:

Around 180 MB for local install
Around 15 MB for a network install

Installation Options:

localinstall
(For additional options, see "Additional Information")

Instructions:

ArcView can be installed/updated with an auto installer. The installer loads the necessary software on the system and installs an icon for it in the program group or menu.

If ArcView is not loaded on your system run:
"Q:\WIN32\INSTALL\GIS\AVIEW32"

If using Windows NT or 2000, you must have administrative rights to install the program.

The default install is a network install. If would prefer a local copy, run:
"Q:\WIN32\INSTALL\GIS\AVIEW32 localinstall"

Network Install: Accept the defaults expect for the last where you change the default to NOT reboot immediately. Just follow the instructions that the installer provides.

Local Install: The "local" install asks more questions. The defaults are generally OK except that you may wish to defer the installation of Crystal Reports and you probably want to include Shared file locking which is found by selecting custom, program files, pressing the details button, and then checking the lock manager box. If the user already has a local copy of ArcView 3.0a or 3.1, they should be sure to install 3.2 to the same directory to preserve added tools and to automatically update the Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst files.
