Edmund Hayes Professor in Silviculture Alternatives
The Edmund Hayes Professor in Silviculture Alternatives was established as a result of the generous support from the Edmund Hayes family to promote the conduct of research on silvicultural approaches to the sustainable production of a variety of forest values through emphasis on complexity and diversity, and to facilitate teaching and application of these approaches. The Hayes Professor will engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising, research and outreach in an area that emphasizes silviculture for meeting complex and diverse ecosystem management objectives. This is a 5 year, renewable appointment at the discretion of the Dean.
