  • 1993 OSU Forestry Dean's Outstanding Service Award: for teamwork in developing a management plan for the College Research Forest.
  • 1993 OSU Extension Award for Programming Excellence, for joint development and delivery of Timber Marking for Forest Stewardship. Paul Oester, Steve Fitzgerald, and Wm. Emmingham.
  • 1990 OSU Forestry Dean's Outstanding Service Award: $5,000 Given to the Forestry Extension Group in recognition of teamwork.
  • 1989 Awesome Force Award: A first ever award given to Emmingham by the Oregon Forestry Extension Group in recognition of outstanding service to Forestry Extension.
  • 1990 Elected Fellow, Society of American Foresters
  • 1989 Elected President, Northwest Science Association
  • 1987 Fulbright visiting professor fellowship to Freiburg University, Freiburg, Germany for one year.
