Graduates typically find employment in manufacturing management, marketing or sales. With a good mix of technical and business skills, graduates from this option are successful mill and regional managers, vice-presidents and CEO's. The Biobased Composites Manufacturing Option provides students with a rigorous foundation for employment in the expanding composite materials manufacturing sector. In recent years, technology and science has enabled the development of many engineered wood composite materials that can be produced from smaller trees of varied species. These materials enable more efficient use of renewable resources and offer new opportunities for replacement of non-renewable materials at lower cost.
