WHY WOULD I WANT A CAREER IN FOREST PRODUCTS?

Want flexibility in where you live?  Forest Products ranks in the top ten for manufacturing jobs in 42 of the 50 United States.

Like living in Oregon?  In Oregon, forest products ranks second in manufacturing jobs.  Three of the top ten employers in Oregon are forest products companies.  Oregon has continually ranked first in the nation for softwood lumber production and plywood production.  Almost 60,000 Oregonians make their living working in the forest products industry.

Want a good paying job? It is not uncommon for our graduates who earn a B.S. degree to start out with salaries in excess of $45,000.  M.S. and Ph.D. students do as well or better.
