2007 Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award

In 2007 Kaichang Li was one of just seven people or organizations in the nation to be honored with a Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award. Kaichang recived the "Greener Synthetic Pathways Award" for his invention of a non-toxic adhesive for production of wood composite panels. Also recognized were Liís industrial collaborators in the development of this product, Columbia Forest Products of Portland, Ore., and Hercules Incorporated of Wilmington, Del.
