Financial Assistance
Research assistantships are available on a competitive basis. M.S. students can earn up to $22,000 per year while Ph.D students can earn up to $23,000. Students awarded a graduate research assistantship also recieve a tuition waiver. In addition, competitive fellowships ($500-$5,000) from the College of Forestry are available to top students.
The Job Market
A degree from OSU will allow you to enter the job market with a competitive advantage. The forest products industry in the Pacific Northwest, as well as the rest of the U.S., consistently has more job opportunities than there are graduates, especially those with marketing/business skills.
