Overview
Proposals are
typically reviewed by individuals, and then by a panel of reviewers
who meet to discuss and rank all of the proposals that are
submitted to a particular program. We will use this approach
to provide feedback on each student's final proposal.
Procedure
You and a few other students have been assigned to a review panel that will meet in class to discuss the proposals you reviewed individually. Click here to see the members of your review panel and the proposals you will review. The review panel will:- Assign one person to write the panel summary for each proposal. This should be someone who already read the proposal and wrote an individual review.
- Discuss the merits of each proposal using the criteria listed on the final proposal review web page.
- Summarize the panel's consensus judgments for each proposal, including the proposal's strengths and weaknesses.
- Submit a half-page panel summary for each proposal on the assigned due date. The names of the summary's author and the rest of the panel should be included. The conclusions in the summary should represent the views of the panel as a whole. If the panel disagrees on important points, this should be noted.
If you do not complete the assignment by the due date, a late penalty will be assigned using the penalties listed in the late assignment policy.
