Overview

Outlines are effective tools for writing complex documents such as research proposals, and many of your assignments will involve writing or critiquing outlines. The following links will direct you to two documents that describe how to write effective sentence outlines. I've highlighted key points on each of these two documents.

Developing an Outline. Highlights were added to a document written by the Online writing lab (OWL) at Purdue University.
