Final proposal (100 points)

Procedure

This is it... the final copy of your research proposal! This proposal will play a critically important role in your success as a graduate student and beyond. Your final proposal should build on the feedback that you received throughout the term. Although you may revise your proposal before you present it to your graduate committee, you should be proud to present this proposal as proof of your ability as a scholar and scientist. Make sure that you refer to The Research Proposal to ensure that your proposal has all of the required elements, including title page, abstract, table of contents, background, hypotheses, goals and objectives, rationale and significance, methods, expected results and interpretations, timeline, and references.

Submit 3 copies of your proposal on or before the due date. Two copies will be distributed to other students to critique, and your proposal will then be reviewed by a peer-review panel of other students.

If you do not complete the assignment by the due date, a late penalty will be assigned using the penalties listed in the late assignment policy.

Objectives and rationale

This proposal is the culmination of your work in this class, and will provide a strong foundation for your graduate research program. Upon completion of this assignment, you will have the final draft of your proposal that will be judged by a panel of your fellow students and the course instructors.
