Baker cypress (Cupressus bakerii)

- Needles: Small, scale-like, pale green leaves with a narrow ridge on back.
- Fruit: Small, rounded silvery cones have 6 to 8 thickened scales; shed numerous, tiny seeds at maturity.
- Appearance: Small tree only reaching 39-46 ft. (12-14 m); larger trees can be found in Oregon.
- Distribution: Rare species found only in the Siskiyou Mountains of northern California and Oregon, in isolated groves.
