You must use your ONID account. It's how you log in to the computers and it provides you access to e-mail. CoF professors expect that they will be able to use e-mail as one way to reach you. The University provides you with an ONID student account. ONID stands for OSU Network ID and includes 2 GB of disk space for data, and an e-mail account @onid.orst.edu with 500 MB of space. An ONID account is required for access to the OSU_Secure wireless network, Blackboard, and numerous campus computing labs. You can activate your ONID account and get other ONID related information at: http://onid.oregonstate.edu.

One-On-One Assistance:

If you attend the lectures but are having trouble with any of the topics, then you're welcome to one-on-one assistance. I'm guaranteed to be around during my office hours listed above, but if that time doesn't work for you then contact me and we'll work out a day and time.

If Class is Missed For ANY Reason:

==> You MUST check your e-mail for instructor messages by class time on

the exceptional day.  Call the instructor phone number if e-mail is not available to you.

==> You MUST contact the instructor by 4:00pm on the exceptional day if
you want to arrange for special assistance at another time.
                  >>> Expect that the instructor will need to follow-up with you.
Indicate how you can be reached to work out the details.

If a University delay/closure forces a missed class session, you can expect that a required make-up lecture will be scheduled.  Likely times -- MWF (11:00 or 12:00), TTh (9:00 or 2:00)  At the usual class time, you'll check your e-mail for these details or call the instructor (leaving information about how you can be reached) if e-mail is unavailable to you.

Students with Disabilities:

Accommodations are collaborative efforts between students, faculty and Disability Access Services (DAS). Students with accommodations approved through DAS are responsible for contacting the faculty member in charge of the course prior to or during the first week of the term to discuss accommodations. Students who believe they are eligible for accommodations but who have not yet obtained approval through DAS should contact DAS immediately at 737-4098.
