Labs

The majority of labs are held in McDonald Forest, OSU's research forest. See the syllabus for lab times. You should anticipate working in the rain and should bring the necessary gear to keep you comfortable. One lab is held indoors.

The following is a list of materials- some are necessary while others are up to you. 

Materials:                  Hardhat – required (available in your FE 308 locker)

Handheld scientific calculator – very useful in the field

Transit style field notebook (2) – required

Level style field notebook (1) – optional

Engineer’s scale – optional

Field boots - required

Field survey vest - optional

Personal lockers:       Personal lockers are available from the instrument room, free of charge, (unless you lose the key).
