TURNING IN LAB ASSIGNMENTS:
There are two components to each lab assignment:
1. Assignments are due at the day and time specified. Turn in a final hardcopy version of your work. All pages should include your name, class number (FE 102), assignment number, and problem number (also include your e-mail address on Assignment 1). Please staple all pages together.
2. You can turn your hardcopy assignment in to me during lecture or outside of lecture. For outside of lecture, put your hardcopy assignment in my faculty mailbox in Peavy 204 or deliver to my office in Peavy 275 (slide it under the door if I'm not available).
3. Also, save a final digital copy of your lab assignment to your workspace location under T:\Teach\Classes\fe102\StudentFolders\workspace (your personalized workspace uses the first seven letters of your last name and first letter of your first name). This digital copy should be identical to the hardcopy assignment you submit. Make sure that nothing else but final assignments and exams are saved to this location. All of your class examples and other Excel work should be saved to your ONID workspace.
Late lab assignments will not be accepted.
All deviations from course policies must be agreed to by the instructor in advance. All e-mail communication with the instructor should be verified as having been received: if you send me an e-mail regarding course policies and I don't respond within three days, that means I didn't receive the e-mail.
GRADING:
Grading will be based on lab assignments and two in-lab examinations
9 assignments = 200 points (50%)
Examination No. 1 = 100 pts (25%)
Examination No. 2 = 100 pts (25%)
(Total examination points = 200)
Class grade is based on the percentage of points you earn from the total points.
A = 90
B = 80-89
C = 70-79
D = 60-69
F = < F
Plus and minus grades will be given where appropriate.
Class performance can be tracked on the WEB (see link for "Current Lab and Exam Grades"). A grading ID number will be given to you when your first graded assignment is returned. This number will allow you to track your point totals throughout the term.
