Faculty and Staff

Housed in Peavy Hall on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis, the Forestry Media Center provides both the College of Forestry and outside clients with access to the personnel and equipment necessary to meet today’s challenges for dissemination of natural resource information in a variety of formats. The FMC has two Media Specialists on staff working with a wide variety of tools and formats to produce media using the latest production technology. We also have student assistants: an office coordinator and ten student attendants responsible for office communication, distribution of media packages, oversight of the audiovisual equipment checkout system, and operation of the Self Learning Center. We are:

David Zahler
Instructional Designer
Media Production Specialist
Senior Instructor, Forest Resources

Trained in forest management, education, and instructional technology, David champions multimedia development, particulary Web-based, DVD-video, and CD-ROM learning materials. He also works with print media, and occasionally teaches introductory courses in dendrology, natural resource education, and computing.
