According to the Temperate Forest Foundation, more than 5,000 wood and paper products are used by humans around the world each day! There is no doubt that scientists continue to discover new ways of converting tree fibers and wood product residues into a vast array of products. How vast? Wood isn't just for cooking, heat, and shelter anymore— wood residues are even found in food and clothing!

Below is a sampling of products from Temperate Forest Foundation's "Cool Facts: From a Tree" website. The products listed can all be produced from tree species native to Oregon. These lists aren't comprehensive. Share with us if you know of other interesting products from wood from Oregon's trees!
