OUS-SYLFF Graduate Fellowships for International Research - deadline April 13, 2007

The Oregon University System is one of nearly 70 endowments in 45 countries established by the Nippon Foundation to create the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF). The SYLFF Program goal is to nurture future leaders who will transcend geopolitical, religious, ethnic, and cultural boundaries in the world community for the peace and well-being of mankind. Congress - Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals Internship - watch for upcoming 2008 grant applications

Seventy five 1-year internships for U.S. citizens or permanent residents, funded by the U.S. Department of State and the German Bundestag, target students interested in German and international affairs. The program includes a 2-month intensive German language course, 4-month study at a German university or professional school, and a 5-month internship with a German company or organization in the participant's target field, during which time the participants live with a German host family. Amazon Conservation Association Graduate Research Grants - watch for upcoming 2008 grant applications.

The Amazon Conservation Association (ACA) and its Peruvian counterpart Asociación para la Conservación de la Cuenca Amazónica (ACCA) invite students enrolled in master's and doctoral graduate programs to submit research proposals in biological science and natural resource-related fields. Grants ranging from $3000-5000 will support field work carried out at the Los Amigos Research Center and Conservation Area in Amazonian Peru during 2008.
