Students who wish to be considered for a Dorothy D. Hoener Memorial Scholarship or Fellowship must respond to the statement below. Please note Hoener Scholarships and Fellowships are awarded to undergraduate students who are majoring in FE, FE/CE, FOM, FM, WST, or NR through their option and to graduate students whose degree program ultimately leads to professional contributions to a vibrant forest products industry.
It is the preference of the Dorothy D. Hoener Memorial Fund Advisory Committee to emphasize Edgar Hoener’s desire that scholarships and fellowships are awarded to students’ whose academic discipline will benefit the forest products industry broadly defined to include managed forests or forest products.
Please explain in the space below how your degree program will contribute to a vibrant forest products industry.
