Attached is the DRAFT Forest Engineering conference program for the IUFRO/FESA and WOODFOR AFRICA International Exhibition. If you haven’t already done so, please confirm that you will be able to attend the conference and present your paper. Confirmations can be sent via e-mail to either Loren Kellogg or Ben Spong.

As a reminder, please note the following:

Registration for the WOODFOR AFRICA conferences must be completed with the conference organizer. Please check their website for information on registration, local accommodations and tour options: http://www.woodforafrica.com

Note: Conference speakers are not required to pay for registration on the day of the Forest Engineering Conference (3, July). However if you plan to attend the Plenary Session (2, July) including other conference functions, you are requested to pay the appropriate registration fee for these additional events. Please indicate that you are a conference speaker on your booking form.

The 1-page summary of your presentation must be received by 1, June 2002 (e-mail to Loren Kellogg or Ben Spong).

Note: You may want to provide a more comprehensive summary than the paper proposal initially submitted – these summaries will be printed in a Forest Engineering Conference notebook and distributed to conference participants.

Your full paper is due at the time of the conference and will be published in a Forest Engineering Conference Proceedings following the meeting.

Note: Guidelines for preparing your manuscript will be sent to you by 1, May 2002
