Mission Statement

The mission of the instrument room is to provide quality instruments in good working condition and in a timely manner. The maintenance, replacement, and calibration of equipment is one of the primary duties of the student personnel in the instrument room to insure that this happens. The student personnel work hard and take pride in seeing this mission through.

Please refer to the policies and procedures for use and care of the equipment and lockers. Our goal is to make sure that your class lockers are set up correctly, set up on time, and that all equipment in the lockers is in good working order. Your cooperation in reviewing these policies and procedures with your students is greatly appreciated and will help us insure a seamless and transparent operation.

Lab Information

The Peavy Instrument Room provides locker service for College of Forestry Lab classes. This service includes individual lockers for lab groups, stocked with equipment appropriate for each week's lab. Instructors may reserve field lockers for each term by completing an electronic Lab Locker Request form or stopping by to visit in person. Someone from the instrument room can also be available to give an orientation to the instrument room, equipment, lockers, etc. at the beginning of the term if needed.

Personal Locker/Drawer Policy

The Peavy Instrument Room provides personal locker and personal drawer service to students. Refer to the Personal Locker/Drawer Policy Statement for the checkout procedure and visit the Instrument Room during open hours to request a locker.
