Zero Week: June 16-20, 2008; June 3 and July 10, pre and follow up classes.
This course will give you the resources, tools, skills, and knowledge to engage your students in experiential learning, and stimulate critical and creative thinking in science. Learn how to integrate writing, reading, and art into science lessons. Learn how to extend your classroom into the out-of-doors. You will spend the week immersed in exploring three national award-winning environmental education curriculums. ****************************************************************************** What: 3-credit residential overnight camp/course, Monday through Friday. Who: Students with provisional acceptance into Double Degree licensure program or a MAT licensure program. Others may be considered if space exists. CAMP IS FREE! You pay only tuition and transportation Lodging and all meals are provided. You will receive 3 sets of environmental education curriculum materials as well as many other valuable resources for only $30. Please bring a check for these to the pre-session, June 3, where you will be given the materials.
