Life Science for Educators

 This course is designed for students with provisional acceptance into OSU Double Degree licensure program or a MAT licensure program. Others may be considered if space exists-Note: Only those registered for TCE 599 ST/Life Science for Educators may register for this course. Last day to register for this course is June 1. Travel, Meals and Lodging
 This course will be held at the Oregon 4-H conference center. Participants will stay at Cascara House. This  two-story, self-contained,  conference lodge is complete with six bedrooms, restrooms with showers on two floors, a kitchen, and a large meeting/lounging area.  Each bedroom accommodates up to four persons on four bunk beds for a total of 24 persons. Lodging is available to the first 24 that register.  Monday lunch through Friday lunch will be provided as well as refreshments. The conference center is approximately 40 miles from Corvallis. Participants who chose to travel will be expected to stay for the entire program.

Accessibility: Workshop sessions will take place in a variety of settings both indoors and outdoors. Most sessions will be interactive in nature and some will involve light hiking over uneven terrain. If you have questions regarding accessibly, accommodations or other special accommodation needs please let us know. We will do our best to help you participant in a way that is comfortable for you. NOTE: This workshop is provided free of charge. However, we do ask for a credit card # to hold your space. Your credit card will not be charged unless you cancel after June 5th. Charges at that time will be $100.00 to off set unrecoverable costs incurred for food and lodging. We will contact you to request the credit card number after receiving your registration.

You will receive a  reply confirming receipt of this registration. Within two weeks of submitting this form you will receive  a phone call to obtain a credit card #.  Detailed information on lodging, directions and a program agenda will be sent in early July.

This course is designed to build on the Project Learning Tree and Project WILD curriculum. Participants are asked to bring their curriculum guide with them. PDU's and Credit

Participants will earn 24 PDU's.  ED 808 credit (generally called workshop credit) or ED 508 credit will be offered for this course. More information about this option will be in the confirmation packet.

Travel, Meals and Lodging

 This course will be held at the Forestry Club Cabin in the OSU McDonald Forest. Lodging will be provided at a Corvallis Hotel for those traveling more than 60 miles. Accommodations are double occupancy.  Meals for Wed. and Thurs. lunch  and dinner, as well as Friday lunch, will be provided. Refreshments will also be provided.
