Fireside Chats begun during the 2005-2006 school year. This idea came to us by a student from the Iowa State University SAF Chapter, she was at Oregon State for one year finishing up her undergraduate degree. Each month a group of students, usually about 12, get to go to one of our professors house's for dinner and a discussion. We talk about various forestry related topics ranging from current events, forestry events from the past few years, or current projects that the specific instructor is working on.
