WHO ARE WE?
We are an informal social group providing student
interaction and activities with regards to forestry. New members are
always welcome. So come to our next meeting and see what it's all
about!
FORESTRY CLUB HISTORY
A four-year course in forestry was first offered
at Oregon State College (Now
Oregon State
University) in the fall of
1906 within the Department of Botany and Forestry under the direction
of the School
of Agriculture.
Scarcely two months after the fall term started, Professor E. R.
Lake met one
evening in his home with five forestry students, C. C. Gate, L. H.
Stone, B. B. Totten, H. L. Currin and A. B. Mitchell. The purpose of
the meeting was to establish a Forestry Club. The date was November

A completely new website is currently in development. As a result this website will be less updated so that the new
one can be activated as soon as possible.
Logging
Sports
Fall Frost is coming to OSU. This is our Logging Sports invitational and this year is a test run for
Conclave 2012. November 12 @ the Peavy Arboretum from 9AM - 5PM.
If you have a parent or grandparent that has a hard time walking invite them!
There will be a shuttle to the arena since there is highly limited parking but we want everyone to have access to
the competition and enjoy the show. There will be food and drinks sold at the arena during the competition too
so if you don't feel like coming with all your own food there will be some on-site for purchase.
If you know anyone who would like to volunteer please contact us!
Practices will be at 4 PM @ Peavy arena. These will be running
on Monday and Tuesday this week. Also on Friday there will be a preparation/practice. Specifics to be announced during
the meeting this week. More info on the events on the Logging Sports page
Wood Cuts
Woodcuts are on a hiatus at the moment and if they occur will be announced by email or in
meetings since we are still receiving orders and requests.
Contact the Woodcut chairs for more info and
confirmation of days it is happening.
