Have been working out of the field of forestry -- mainly in engineering/surveying -- for almost 15 years now. I miss the westside Oregon woods but the NW corner of Washington is great country too. Wife Linda and I have had a lot of fun sailing our Cal 33 sailboat, but just sold it. |

Greetings from The Last Frontier. For the past 1.5 years, I've been serving as superintendent of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve, the largest unit in the National Park System. This is my third National Park Service superintendency and my second tour in Alaska. It seems strange to now be thinking about retirement, but with almost 27 years of federal service, there's only six more to go before I can hang-up the Stetson. A return to Oregon and a nice quiet antiquarian bookshop somewhere seems ever more attractive. Hello to the Class of '74, and Go Beavs! |
