"Contracts" at OSU is a broadly used term. The following should help clarify the realm of contracting as it relates to faculty.
ONLY authorized contracts officers may sign on behalf of the University. ANY AGREEMENT requiring a signature that relates to OSU must be signed by a contracts officer. When in doubt, call the Forestry Business Office.
Research Proposals / Sub-contracts are usually signed by Clem LaCava or Steve
Goode in the Research Contracts office located in the same area as Research
Accounting. Leases, Capital acquisitions, negotiated purchases etc. are usually
signed by Aaron Howell in Property & Construction Contracting (PACC). The
following list shows the names and titles of official OSU contracts officers.
