Specific research objectives will include the identification of hardwood species that demonstrate the greatest potential for inclusion in existing Huber products, and to design specific processes to facilitate the production of hardwood / softwood panels with acceptable properties. The research will be conducted in close collaboration with staff at the Huber OSB plant in Commerce, Georgia. =20 The student will be supervised by Dr. Laurence Schimleck, Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. Students that apply should have an undergraduate degree in wood science and forest products or a related field.
