Dear IAWA List Members,

Please excuse the cross-posting.

Everything is shaping up for a wonderful Plant Biomechanics Conference
20-25 July 2003.

There will be over 75 talks covering 16 topics and a special evening
lecture by Dr. Steven Vogel, author of "Life in Moving Fluids", "Cats' Paws
and Catapults: Mechanical Worlds of Nature" and his brand new text
"Biomechanics". We have also planned a special 'Teaching' workshop and
poster session which will provide those involved in teaching 'hands-on'
examples which can be used to teach basic scientific principles and
relationships in the classroom. If you'd like to submit a poster related
to the use of plant biomechanics in education, contact Guy Steuck at:

guy.steucek@millersville.edu

If you are interested in the hands-on workshop, contact Mark Fontaine at:

risef@mindless.com

If you haven't registered, early registration is still available until June
1. After that it will cost you a little more to register.

You can register on-line at: www.plantbiomechanics2003.msu.edu

A conference schedule, list of speakers and titles will be posted shortly.
Abstracts will also be posted and linked to the schedule shortly.

So, if you haven't made travel plans to join us in East Lansing, Michigan
this summer, here is a friendly reminder.

We'd love to see you here!
