Dear IAWA:

Scanned macrographs of North American Woods are now available on line.
These images  were scanned from Romeyn B. Houghs 1888 books, each of which
contained radial, tangential, and cross-sections of wood.

I hope you can enjoy them. I initiated this project for the enrichment
reading for my fall class that I have taught for 42 years.  The URL is
