Hello IAWA members,

I'm very pleased that this Internet forum has been established for the IAWA 
membership - having managed the Dendrochronology Internet forum for 14 
years now, I know how such forums benefit the scientific community. The 
IAWA Journal traditionally has been instrumental in helping disseminate 
articles related to tree-ring research. I will encourage members of the 
dendrochronological community who are not already members to join IAWA as 
well as this forum (again, one of the benefits is increased communication 
between disciplines). Likewise, if you are interested in dendrochronology, 
please consider joining the Dendrochornology forum, the Tree-Ring Society, 
or the newly formed Association for Tree-Ring Research - it's very easy 
(much information can be gained from my web pages listed below) and I'll be 
glad to help with any questions.
