The Ram’s Dell Forest was acquired in two donations from Vittz and Elaine Ramsdell. The 147-acre forest is located in the Woodcock Creek drainage, approximately seven miles east of Mollala.

Management Philosophy

To provide a practical example of non-industrial private forest management in western Oregon showcasing state-of-the-art methods and techniques designed to improve the overall stewardship of land throughout the region. The forest will provide a link between the University and the local community and become a forum for discussion, research and education about natural resource management.
