Type 3401 (3.9 acres): Well stocked 25 year-old
Douglas-fir plantation. Clumps of older residual trees, some over
100 years, are scattered throughout the type.
Type 3402 (20.7 acres): Moderately well stocked
60- to 65 year-old Douglas-fir. The type was commercially thinned
an estimated 35 years ago.
Type 3406 (6.7 acres): This type consists of
three small islands with a mixture of species and ages. Trees are
primarily bigleaf maple, Douglas-fir, and Pacific madrone. Conifer
ages are variable, with merchantable trees ranging from 25 to 60
years or more. The type also is well stocked with pre-merchantable
trees.
Type 3407 (23.9 acres): Seventy to 80 year-old
Douglas-fir. Stocking is spotty, with numerous brushy openings.
Type was commercially thinned an estimated 35 years ago.
Type 3408 (0.7 acres): Dry sidehill stocked
primarily with Oregon white oak. Douglas-fir between 50 and 60 years-old
is scattered.
Type 3420 (1.5 acres): Primarily a mixture of
bigleaf maple and Oregon white oak. Douglas-fir, 40 to 50 years
old, is scattered.
Type 301 (8.5 acres): Riparian type dominated
by red alder and bigleaf maple. Stocking is good, and trees are
well spaced. Average age is about 50 years.
Type 302 (30.6 acres): Moderately well stocked
50 to 60 year-old Douglas-fir and grand fir with scattered hardwoods.
Type was commercially thinned an estimated 25 to 30 years ago.
Type 303 (25.3 acres): Well stocked 65 year-old
Douglas-fir. Scattered trees are 100 to 200 years and older. Type
was commercially thinned an estimated 25 to 30 years ago.
Type 304 (18.1 acres): Variable in species and
ages. Type contains primarily hardwoods, including bigleaf maple,
red alder, Oregon white oak, and Pacific madrone, but also has a
large component of Douglas-fir and grand fir. Most conifers are
50 to 60 years old, but some are 110 and older. The majority of
the acreage in this type is in riparian areas.
Type 305 (4.1 acres): Mixture of primarily Douglas-fir
and grand fir, although bigleaf maple also is common. Ages are variable.
Most trees are between 50 and 60 years old, but scattered trees
are 100 to 200 years and older.
Type 306 (2.2 acres): Douglas-fir consisting
of a mixture of scattered residual trees up to 80 years old, younger
merchantable trees 35 to 40 years old, and reproduction.
Type 307 (1.0 acres): Grass field with old,
dilapidated barn (not cruised).
Type 308 (5.8 acres): Well-stocked 65 year-old
Douglas-fir. Scattered trees are 100 to 200 years and older. Type
was commercially thinned an estimated 25 to 30 years ago. It is
similar to Type 303, except that it contains more older trees and
grand fir.
Type 401 (4.0 acres): Mixture of primarily Douglas-fir,
grand fir, and Oregon white oak. The type was left as a visual buffer
for the clearcut to the south. Hardwood stocking increases from
east to west, while conifer stocking decreases. Conifers are 50
to 60 years old.
Type 404 (4.9 acres): Type contains two islands.
Stocking which consists primarily of young Douglas-fir and grand
fir is uneven. Most trees are 30 to 35 years old, but scattered
trees range up to about 70 years.
Type 405 (5.7 acres): Poorly stocked Douglas-fir.
Type contains several non-stocked openings dominated by brush. Ages
are variable, ranging from 20 to up to 70 years, with an average
of about 40.
Type 406 (1.3 acres): Douglas-fir that is part
of the visual buffer for the clearcut to the south. Many of the
trees in this type have blown down, so that those remaining are
widely spaced. The windthrown trees have been salvaged.
Type 413 (2.3 acres): Riparian type that is
a mix of primarily bigleaf maple, red alder, and grand fir. Stocking
is good, and trees are well spaced. Conifers generally are 50 to
60 years old, although some are 90 years or older.
Plantations (78.5 acres): Mixed species seedlings
(not cruised).
