Welcome to the Elizabeth Starker Cameron Demonstration Forest, otherwise known as the "Cameron Tract." This 260-acre property was given to the Oregon State University College of Forestry in 1995 by Elizabeth Starker Cameron. The Tract is managed for three purposes:

• To demonstrate good private forest stewardship
  
  

• To experiment with management
  alternatives for private forest owners
  
  

• To provide income from periodic timber
  harvests to support a continuing program
  in private and family forestry at OSU
  

In 1998 John C. Bliss was appointed Starker Chair of Private and Family Forestry at OSU to develop a program relevant to private and family forest owners. This site provides information about management and demonstration activities on the Cameron Tract as well as links to other sites relevant to private woodland owners and the surrounding Soap Creek Watershed.
